Robotron 2084

  • Description
    • Don't judge a book (well, in this case a screenshot) by it's cover. Here is a homebrewed Flash based game called 'Robotron 2014'ish' that seems to have been inspired by the original classic by Williams electronics, ROBOTRON 2084. Aside from the somewhat cheezy theme and funky graphic sprites, the game is actually really fun and given the fact that it's played with a single mouse, the control is movement within the game is similar to the real Robotron 2084 (which had two separate joysticks).

Robotron: 2084 (also referred to as Robotron) is an arcade video game developed by Vid Kidz and released by Williams Electronics (part of WMS Industries) in 1982. It is a shoot 'em up that features two-dimensional (2D) graphics. The game is set in the year 2084, in a fictional world where robots have turned against humans in a cybernetic revolt. The aim is to defeat endless waves of robots, rescue surviving humans, and earn as many points as possible.
