The move can cost more than the mistake

Arcade cabinets are awkward, fragile, and often heavier than the seller says. The deal is not real until the path, truck, help, protection, and liability are clear.

Measure-first worksheet

□ Cabinet width, depth, height, and estimated weight.
□ Origin door width, hallway width, stair width, turns, landing depth, and ceiling clearance.
□ Destination path with the same measurements, not just the truck side.
□ Truck opening, ramp angle, liftgate availability, tie-down points, and parking distance.
□ Whether back door, coin door, glass, marquee, loose shelves, or control parts are secured.
□ Who is responsible if artwork, glass, corners, monitor, or cabinet body is damaged.

Copy/paste mover request

I need to move an arcade cabinet. Please quote only if you can handle a heavy arcade machine with glass, controls, old electronics, and cabinet artwork. I can provide cabinet dimensions, origin/destination access photos, stairs/doorway measurements, truck/liftgate needs, and timing. Please confirm how the cabinet will be wrapped/secured and who is responsible for damage to the machine or property.

Abort or delay the move if...

  • • No dimensions and the cabinet is in a basement or upstairs room.
  • • Seller will not send pickup-path photos.
  • • Mover does not know it is an arcade cabinet with glass, controls, and old electronics.
  • • No liftgate or ramp plan for a heavy cabinet.
  • • Freight pickup expects a pallet/crate but cabinet is loose.
  • • Nobody has decided who pays if the move damages the machine or property.

Pickup-day script

  1. 1. Photograph cabinet condition before it moves.
  2. 2. Confirm keys, back door, loose parts, glass, and control panel are secure.
  3. 3. Walk the path before lifting anything.
  4. 4. Stop if the cabinet does not fit the measured path.
  5. 5. Photograph loaded/secured cabinet before transport.
